Flight Lieutenant Virgil Brennan graduated from the Class of 1934. As both the subject and co-author of the book Spitfires over Malta, Flight Lieutenant Brennan was an Australian aviator and flying ace of World War II. Flight Lieutenant Brennan was commissioned and awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal in 1942 and a Distinguished Flying Cross was added to his award for gallantry.
