Seniors - Return to State High
On Thursday 3rd June, we welcomed back more than 100 past students for the 'Seniors Return to State High' event to help celebrate Centenary on the Kurilpa Roof Terrace. Many of our guests also participated in a school tour and remarked on the massive changes since their days at the 'old State High'. Chris Bombolas (Class of 1978) entertained the crowd as MC and performances by the BSHS String Quartet and Choir did not disappoint - especially when the school song was sung. Helen Laws (Class of 1947) came all the way from Mackay just for the occasion. Helen was just pipped by Clyde Spearritt (Class of 1946) as the 'most senior' guest.

State High Day
State High Day was shaping up to be a remarkable event on a beautiful day. A celebration to support the centenary sports rounds, with music and dance performances by State High’s talented students, tours, showcase markets, festival foods and a jam-packed day thanks to the P&C Association and the school. That morning, we received the unfortunate news that we would be going into lock down in the afternoon and a difficult call was made to shut down the event. We thank our remarkable State High community for their contribution to create such an event and the goodwill and spirit of everyone involved to pack down the event in record time following the announcement. Thank you!
